Porto is the second largest city in Portugal. One of Portugal's most internationally famous products is Port wine, which was originally shipped from Vila Nova de Gaia. Porto is also well known for its enterprising spirit, characteristic culture, people, and local cuisine. In fact the city is today the capital of northern Portugal and the region's commercial and industrial center.
