“Fair”作为名词用时，有“集市，展会”之意。
例句："I found my job at a career fair my university sponsored."
      我在学校赞助的招聘会上找到了工作。

job search / job hunt
“找工作”。也可以说job hunting。
例句："Hi Sarah, how is the job hunt coming along?"
      嗨，萨拉，工作找的怎么样？

networking
“人脉，关系” 。
例句："Good networking is very important. The easiest way to find a job is through someone you know."
      好的人际关系非常重要。通过你认识的人来找工作是最简单的方法。

to be laid off / fired
“被裁员/被辞退，被炒”，而“laid-off workers”就是“下岗职工”的意思。
例句："I just got fired, so I am currently looking for a new job."
      我刚被公司炒了，现在正在找新工作。

to quit
“辞职，不干了”
例句：“I can’t take this anymore. My job is killing me. I quit.”
       我受不了了。我的工作太累了。老子不干了。

to moonlight
“打双分工，兼职”
例句："During the day he works at the bank, but at night he moonlights as a cook at a restaurant."
      白天他在银行工作，但是晚上他在一家餐厅兼职作厨师。

“苛刻的上司”
例句："My boss is a slave driver, I have never worked this hard in my life!"

to call in sick
“请病假”
例句："I called in sick to work today, I just needed a day to rest."

“喋喋不休，唠叨”
